Canyon of the Eagles

2003 visit ~ 2007 visit

I took this trip four years earlier and just had to come back. Here are some photos from this trip.

First, some photos from the lodge above the dock from where the cruise leaves.
The first waterfall is beautiful even when the amount of water flowing is low.
Below are some photos of the birds I saw on this trip.
But, of course, the main attraction is seeing eagles. We saw at least 7 -- 1 Golden Eagle and 6 Bald Eagles.
One of the waterfalls I do not remember seeing before is another great attraction.
The forecast for this day was cold and rainy. They got half of it right (and from the photos, I bet you can guess which half). However, the one part of the day that wasn't perfect, came up on the trip back. Below on the left, you can see the smooth water we had when the trip left dock. Below on the right, you can see what it looked like about 4 hours later when we returned.
