This day was mainly for a trip to the Dry Tortugas. The island is 70 miles west of Key West. On the island is Fort Jefferson.

Below are some photos more of Fort Jefferson. It was a prison at one time too and its most famous (or infamous) prisoner was Dr. Samuel "Your Name Is" Mudd who was implicated in the assassination of President Lincoln.

An island about 2 miles away is called Loggerhead Key named after the Loggerhead Turtle which frequents the island.

On the way back, we got into some rough seas. Only about four-foot waves, though. The passengers in the boat only went airborn a couple of times.

Last day is day 3 ... pick up there.
